On September 8, 1964, a group of families, who wished to give their children a formation in Catholic values and a high academic level, encouraged by the founder of Opus Dei, St. Josemaría Escrivá de Balaguer, founded the Los Cerros Gymnasium. He also invited those parents who shared the same ideal for the education of their children to participate in this project.
For this reason, on September 10, students, directors, teachers, administrative staff and other personnel gathered in the main dining room to commemorate this important event with a special lunch to celebrate the 54th anniversary of the school.
