Learning methodology Cerros

The Cerros method

Each person learns differently and has different motivations, therefore, the process in and out of the classroom must respond to these differences. In the school there is a balance between conceptual, project-based and experiential learning. This is the Cerros method.

The technical teams of each academic area are clear about the concepts to be addressed at each grade level, following a logical and concatenated sequence, ensuring the necessary knowledge to face each stage of life.

The teaching teams of each grade interrelate the concepts corresponding to each subject, based on a theme by means of projects developed in the classroom or outside the classroomThe unity of knowledge is strengthened.

We enhance experiences to make the most of the learning process. in which teachers serve as facilitators for students, who take on a greater role in discovering reality for themselves, with the motivation to see how the application of knowledge has an impact on the solution of real problems.

PYRENEES EXPERIENCE

The school has a Experiential Learning Coordination (Pyrenees)which has six work fronts: trekking, expeditions, summer camps, social work, training of facilitators, and the Project Management Office. The program for each of them takes into account 5 dimensions of personal development:

1. SPIRITUAL

We strengthen our Christian identity according to the spirit of our educational community.

2. VALUES

We support the formation of our nine institutional values.

3. SUSTAINABILITY

We generate awareness to recognize the world as a gift.

4. TECHNIQUE

We develop camping and outdoor living techniques to become a responsible traveler.

5. SOCIAL

We learn through service to others.
