Champions League: Real Madrid offers championship to the Virgin Mary

Real Madrid, Champions League champions for the third consecutive year, offered their victory to the Virgin of the Almudena in the Spanish capital.

On Saturday, May 26, Real Madrid defeated Liverpool of England 3-1 in a match played at the Olympic Stadium in Kiev (Ukraine), which was watched by millions of people around the world.

Madrid's goals were scored by France's Karim Benzema and Welshman Gareth Bale twice. Liverpool's goal was scored by Senegal's Sadio Mané, who led the English team's attack after the injury of the team's star player, Egypt's Mohamed Salah, who had to leave the game after disputing the ball with Sergio Ramos.
