Our Pre High School students had their hike to "Cerro del Aguila" in the Santa Ana la Aguadora Reserve adjacent to the Los Cerros Gymnasium.
Thanks to our good relationship with its administrators
@acueductodebogota we have the possibility of using the network of trails and ancestral roads to different destinations in the eastern hills.
On this occasion, taking advantage of the proximity, we left on foot from our facilities and before going into the forest we had an outdoor Green Classroom session by seasons with our guides on: flora, fauna, ancestry, water and techniques for minimizing the impact of an outing in nature.
With all this information we entered the trail to recognize in the experience everything we had learned. Once on the mountain, our first goal was to reach the Aguadora viewpoint and from there, after a short rest, we made our final ascent to conquer the summit of Cerro del Aguila, the highest point in the area over 3200 meters above sea level.
At the top we had the best reward, a wonderful 360° view where we could appreciate our city, its periphery, the San Rafael reservoir and the town of La Calera.
We continue with our expedition and trekking program, supporting the training plan and committed to the awareness, protection, care and conservation of our ecosystems, aware of the great challenge we have against climate change.
