Language day is very important for Los Cerros, therefore, the "XXIX Concurso de la Lira de Plata" and the "XI Concurso de la Nota de Plata" were held. Events that bring together the best poetry declaimers and musical performers, who make their presentation in front of their peers and a qualifying jury.
The contests were held on April 25, 26 and 27. There, the participants demonstrated their great ability to declaim and an excellent singing experience.
Meanwhile, students Juan Camilo León, from Fourth B, Juan José Velásquez, from Eighth A, and Santiago Pérez, from Tenth A, participated in the XXIII San Jorge Plata 2017 Poetry Contest, organized by Gimnasio Campestre. There, the latter two excelled with their excellent poetry declamations, taking first place.
