A final full of emotions: this is how the match between Gimnasio de Los Cerros and Gimnasio del Norte, which defined the champion of the senior category of the second semester of 2016 AACBI Cup (Andean Association of International Baccalaureate Schools).
The final was staged last Friday, November 25 at the Gimnasio del Norte, where both teams demonstrated their good level and left everything on the field. The victory of Gimnasio de Los Cerros came thanks to a goal scored by Andrés Arias González at the 15th minute of the second half, achieving, with this minimal difference, the title of champion. Another outstanding player was Carlos Gómez Linares, the team's goalkeeper, who stood out for being the least defeated goalkeeper (zero goals against).
In basketball, the team led by coach Fernando Sierra won third place in the same Cup. The Los Cerros delegation was made up of 41 students, accompanied by coaches Ildebrando Mosquera (soccer), Fredy Cuevas (volleyball) and Fernando Sierra (basketball).
