Student Juan Andrés Acosta Betancourt, from class 10A, represented Gimnasio de Los Cerros in the Chemistry Olympics held at the University of Antioquia, from September 29 to 30. There, he won a bronze medal at the regional level and a bronze medal at the national level, after competing with more than 5,000 students from different schools in Antioquia and the rest of the country.
It is worth mentioning the student's academic commitment, since on several occasions he has left the school's name on high. One of them was the participation in the Model United Nations, held in March in the city of New York, where they won the award for "Best Foreign Delegation".
Juan Andrés was accompanied by the Chemistry teacher, Jaime Barinas, who has encouraged the students to participate in different olympiads related to this subject.
Sincere congratulations!
