At his young age, Juan Felipe Gonzalez Cova, from the Pre Baccalaureate B course, has participated in different equestrian competitions at national and international level, obtaining important achievements.

In his most recent participation in March, Juan Felipe was the ambassador for Colombia in the Winter Equestrian Festival (WEF), an event that took place in the small town of Wellington, in southeast Florida, United States. There, during 4 days prior to the competition, he did an arduous training, testing his assigned horse, named "Dirty Dancing", who would be his right hand for two weeks of competition.

With great effort, dedication and discipline, he achieved in his first week the title of champion in the Take 2 Thoroughbred Jumper 1.00 category. It should be noted that he was the youngest to compete. On the other hand, in the Low Children 1.10 category, he took fifth place.

Finally, after competing alongside experienced and renowned professional riders such as Victoria Colvin and Rachel Johnson, Juan Felipe won the championship title in the Take 2 Thoroughbred Jumper 1.00 category.

During his stay in Wellington, he received invitations to compete this year in Venice Equestrian Tour and Tryon International Equestrian Center; in addition, he met and received a lot of advice from Olympic champions and recognized riders worldwide, who wished him the best success, hoping to see him in a few years in the Olympics and more representative competitions in the world.
