The entire Los Cerros Gymnasium community welcomes Father Aníbal Valencia, who joined the school as chaplain on January 15.
Father Valencia was born in Cali on March 15, 1978. He finished high school at the Franciscan school of Pío XII. He completed his university studies at the Universidad Nacional de Colombia, Medellin, where he graduated as a Forestry Engineer in 2003. Between that year and 2011, he was a teacher and preceptor at Gimnasio Los Alcazares in Medellin. From there, he traveled to Rome, to pursue his studies in Theology, and received priestly ordination on April 29, 2017. In December of that same year, he was awarded a doctorate by the Pontifical University of the Holy Cross.
